Enzo Mari long collaboration with Danese Milano resulted in numerous investigations of the formal possibilities of various materials. His experiments with stone in the 1960s brought about the Paros collection, which includes this vessel, in very good vintage condition. This is an early piece, no longer in production, and is clearly identified on the base.
