The following Policies govern use of this site and the purchase of goods through Table of Contents. Table of Contents, Inc. ("TOC") reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time. By using this site, you agree to be bound by the Policies set forth below.
When your order has been received by TOC, you will receive an email confirming that order. Your order will be processed within two business days (Monday-Friday). If we receive your order on a weekend or holiday, it will be processed the next business day from our location in Portland, Oregon. Once an order has been processed, we cannot cancel or modify the order. If you need to cancel or modify an order that has been processed, please refer to our Returns policy below.
TOC uses UPS for domestic and international shipping. Orders are dispatched within 2 business days from the date we receive your order and credit verification has been confirmed. You will receive a confirmation email when your order has been received, and a shipment confirmation with tracking information once the order has been processed. You can track your order at UPS.COM.
Standard shipping rates are as follows:
UPS Ground: $14 (free on orders over $250)
UPS Expedited: $38 (free on orders over $350)
All Other International Destinations:
UPS Expedited: $46 (free on orders over $400)
Express shipping options are calculated by actual weight at the time of checkout.
Shipments within the United States are sent via UPS Ground, and will typically arrive within 3-5 business days. Shipments outside the US are made via UPS. International orders may be subject to customs duties depending on your country of residence. The buyer is responsible for any and all such customs duties and taxes. Expected arrival date for international orders is approximately 10-14 days from the order date. Buyer will receive a shipment confirmation email with the shipping tracking number.
You are responsible for providing TOC with correct billing and shipping information. If an order has been shipped to an inaccurate address that you have provided, we cannot be held responsible.
If you refuse a shipment from TOC or do not pick up your package, and the package is returned to us, you are responsible for the original shipping cost, return shipping cost, any assessed customs duties or taxes, and a 25% restocking fee. This total will be subtracted from your merchandise refund.
ONLINE RETURN POLICY
We gladly accept non-sale items for exchange/return that have been authorized for return and that are received back at Table of Contents within 20 days of the date your order was placed. Merchandise received after this time cannot be exchanged, and will be returned to sender. Merchandise that is returned in new, unworn, unwashed condition with all original packaging, attached tags, and original receipt may be eligible of return/exchange. Shoes may be returned only if they are in new, unworn condition with their original, undamaged box or bag. Undergarments, swimwear, socks, jewelry, books, magazines, fragrances, candles, special orders, international orders (outside the US), and all sale items are considered final sale and are not eligible for return/exchange. All online sales are final 10 days after the date of purchase, unless a return authorization has been requested. No price adjustments. We reserve the right to deny returns/exchanges if the merchandise returned does not meet the requirements stated above.
To make an exchange/return, please contact us within 2 days of receiving your order to receive a Return Authorization number. You can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the store at 503.206.5630 Tuesday through Saturday, noon–6pm PST. We cannot issue refunds or exchanges for items returned without this number.

You are responsible for return shipping costs. TOC is not responsible for damaged or lost returns, so we recommend that you use a trackable shipping service and purchase insurance. We will not issue refunds for lost or damaged goods.
Upon acceptance of the merchandise for return, your refund, less shipping costs, will be processed within 7 business days, and you will receive an email acknowledging the return. Please check with your credit card company to confirm when your refund will appear on your statement. Generally, this can take up to two billing cycles.

Such use is prohibited by law, and may result in civil and criminal penalties.
ERRORS & OMISSIONS
We make every effort to ensure that our online inventory reflects actual stock at our Portland store, but availability of products is not guaranteed. If an item you have ordered is not available or has been reordered, we will notify you as soon as possible via email.
All prices on this site are quoted in US dollars. While we try to ensure that all prices displayed are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of an item you have ordered, we will contact you and give you the option to reconfirm the order at the correct price, or cancel. If we do not receive a response within 48 hours we will consider the order cancelled.
We have tried to display and describe all products on this site as accurately as possible. Some variation in the appearance of actual product color may result from the use of differing monitors and color gamuts. We cannot be responsible for such variations.
We respect your privacy. Any and all information collected on this site will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold, disclosed to third parties or reused without your permission. Any information you give to us will be held with care and will be used solely for the purposes of filling your online order.
