The objects for which Werkstätte Carl Auböck has become best known begin with everyday forms—bookends, vases, paperweights, magazine racks—and merge an appreciation of material, craft, function, and humor to achieve extraordinary results. The workshop, based in Vienna, Austria, has passed through the hands of five generations, and is now led by Carl Auböck IV.
